Authorities identify man found dead in canal near Keyes
A man found dead in a canal near Keyes on Wednesday morning was identified Thursday as 24-year-old Jacob Meunier.
Emergency responders received a call of a body in a canal near the intersection of Faith Home and Keyes roads at around 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Meunier is listed as a transient, according to Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Deputy Tom Killian.
He said Meunier’s cause of death remains under investigation but does not appear to be suspicious.
