Vehicle strikes horse and rider on Carpenter Road west of Ceres, CHP reports
A horse and rider were struck by a vehicle on Carpenter Road west of Ceres on Thursday evening, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Little detail was available on the accident, which was reported at about 6:20 p.m. just north of Redwood Road. The initial report said the male rider was injured and animal control officers were being called to deal with the horse.
