Written on the walls: Artists respond to hate with Love Prevails Mural in Turlock
Seven artists unveiled the Love Prevails Mural in Turlock on Sunday, close to where a recent hate crime was reported.
The messages are on walls, rocks and other surfaces on the 2300 block of Monte Vista Avenue. They are a response in part to racist fliers and stickers seen in recent months, and to a report that a woman was punched in the head last month by a man who uttered an anti-Mexican slur.
