Train-pedestrian accident reported in northeast Modesto
Emergency crews responded to a call Tuesday night about a pedestrian struck by an Amtrak train in northeast Modesto.
Details were not immediately available about the accident, which happened at about 8 p.m. at Claus Road and Santa Fe Avenue. Passengers waited aboard the stopped train while responders worked the scene.
Automobile traffic was slowed near the tracks, which are owned by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
