Travis Kelce Defends ‘Classy' Beer Chug at Cavs Game With Taylor Swift

Travis Kelce is not apologizing for chugging a beer while courtside with fiancée Taylor Swift as the Cleveland Cavaliers played the New York Knicks.

"You f***ing classless. You're a role model, Travis! You cannot be out there chugging beers in public!" his brother, Jason Kelce, joked on the Wednesday, May 27, episode of their "New Heights" podcast.

Travis, meanwhile, replied, "It was a classy chug, Jason. I didn't spill one drop. I didn't crush the can. I'm on the hardwood floor at an NBA game. It could have [gotten] messy. It was a smooth, classy chug to get the people going. … We're doing f***ing 10 points, trying to get f***ing some type of energy going in the building."

Jason, 38, went on to agree with Travis, 36, that it was an "elegant chug."

"It wasn't too much energy. It was just the right amount and it was smooth. Just like everything you do. You are a smooth athlete," Jason quipped.

The pair watched a clip of Travis in action at the game in Cleveland on Saturday, May 23, where he lifted the can to his mouth as fellow attendees laughed and clapped.

"It's not even touching the lips, no form of panic," Jason observed. "You didn't even panic when the foam started coming up. You knew there was a chance it was gonna get a little messy there when the foam started coming up. And just a casual … it was nice. Pinkie was up! Pinkie was up!"

Travis quipped to Jason that you "got to keep your composure," as the former Philadelphia Eagles player joked the beer was "like a teacup."

Travis and Swift, 36, were spotted sitting courtside at Game 3 of the NBA Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday, with the tight end cheering on his hometown team. The Cavaliers ultimately lost to the Knicks, who also won the fourth game of the series and are headed to the NBA Finals.

Travis, for his part, sported a Cavaliers cap and short-sleeved denim shirt and jeans while Swift rocked a black tank top and jeans. The outing came amid a string of appearances in recent weeks, with the couple also stepping out in New York City one day prior.

"I will say this, this wasn't me trying to persuade Taylor into being a Cleveland sports fan with me. This was me just having a fun date night, knowing that I love going to basketball games," Travis said on Wednesday's episode. "We actually tried going to a game in New York, but I was stuck in Kansas City. I love bringing her into the sports world that I appreciate."
