Staten Island Condo President Describes Pete Davidson as a Neighbor

The president of a Staten Island condo building has provided some rare insight into who Pete Davidson is as a neighbor.

"He is a perfect neighbor. He was police, he was nice to everyone," Christopher Campbell, building president of the Accolade Condominium at 90 Bay Street Landing, where Davidson lived for years, wrote in a reported "thank you" letter of sorts, according to a Saturday, May 16, report from local media outlet silive.com.

"He knows that people want to talk to him, so he broke the ice," Campbell continued in the reported letter. "If he's on the elevator and he doesn't know the person, he would introduce himself, and people just thought of him as their neighbor."

Campbell reportedly added, "When he was dating [Kim Kardashian], she would come here… and he thought of his neighbors, and he didn't want to have an entourage blocking the front entrance, so he would take the side door to be police. He used to bring his celebrity friends, so you never know who you're going to meet in the building. Miley Cyrus has been here, Kid Cudi, Machine Gun Kelly."

The building president also reportedly thanked the Saturday Night Live alum for donating an air hockey table to the residents of his former home.

"On behalf of everyone at The Accolade Condominium, we want to extend our heartfelt best wishes as you begin your next chapter," the reported thank you letter read in part. "It has truly been a pleasure having you as part of our community. You were the perfect neighbor, always friendly, approachable, and respectful to everyone around you. Your presence brought a special energy to our building, and we know many residents will fondly remember their interactions with you."

The letter reportedly concluded, "We are especially grateful for your generous donation of the air hockey table to the community room. It has already brought so much enjoyment to residents of all ages and will continue to be a lasting reminder of your kindness and thoughtfulness."

Insight of Davidson's neighborly tendencies comes just hours after Us Weekly broke the news that the comedian and his partner, Elsie Hewitt, have called it quits five months after welcoming their first baby together, daughter Scottie Rose. (Scottie is named after Davidson's father, a former firefighter who died while responding to the September 11, 2011, terrorist attacks.)

"They are still sorting things out as it pertains to their split," a source close to the couple exclusively told Us on Saturday. "They tried to make it work but there were different stressors, including having a baby together as two people who didn't yet know each other that well. They are both trying to make it work and have made accommodations in their schedules for the baby."

The SNL alum and model were first romantically linked in March 2025, going on to welcome their daughter in December of that same year.

"The best thing I've been telling people is [that Scottie is] the biggest gift," Davidson exclusively told Us one month after his daughter's birth. "Nothing else matters as much or intensely, like career, activities, hanging out with people [or] what do people think of me, that sort of s***. I still want to do cool stuff, but it's like, ‘Well, how long do I have to stay away?' Or, ‘Is this worth being away?'"
