Living legend Ringo Starr is headed to Stockton.

Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band will play the Bob Hope Theatre on Thursday, Nov. 17. The former Beatles drummer will bring along his famous friends in his traveling supergroup as part of their North American tour.

His All-Starr Band features Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Steve Lukather, Richard Page, Warren Ham and Gregg Bissonette.

Starr has been touring on and off with His All-Starr Band since 1989. Now in its 12th incarnation, the group includes past members of Toto, Journey, Mr. Mister, Kansas and more.

Latino Hot August Nights

Enjoy Latino Hot August Nights this weekend in Modesto.

The event will feature a show and shine with the Modesto Impala Car Club and dancing to live Tex-Mex, ranchera and norteno music. Performing will be Los Niteliters, Ruben y La Nueva Onda and DJ Carlos. A no-host dinner and bar will also be available on site.

Music at the GMC

The Music at the GMC series returns with a night of acoustic sounds.

Performing the Modesto Unplugged and ModestoView sponsored series will be The Heifer Belles, a trio which bills itself as “back porch Americana.” The group features singer-songwriter Juliet Gobert, pedal steel player Kim Rogers and upright bassist Karel Hendee.

Farm 2 Fork Market

Sciabica’s celebrates the 80th anniversary of cold-pressing extra-virgin olive oil with a community event.

The Farm 2 Fork market will feature booths from local artisan food companies. Visitors can also sample and purchase food and olive oils, watch chef demonstrations and listen to live music. The Modesto Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting.

Festivities will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Sciabica’s Olive Oil, 2150 Yosemite Blvd., Modesto. Admission is free. For more information, call 800-551-9612.

Merced Art Hop fashion show

The Merced Art Hop presents a fundraiser fashion show this weekend.

The Basic Bxtches Fashion Show will feature the work of designers Bianchini Toresani, Drastique, Eulalia Gamez and Kimberly Zamora. The show will include light appetizers, drinks and raffle prizes.
