Mistlin Gallery student exhibit
The work of undergraduate students from local colleges is on display in the new exhibit “From the Trenches” at the Mistlin Gallery.
The arts show features work from University of California, Merced; California State University, Stanislaus; Modesto Junior College; and Merced College students. The exhibit host and curator is Richard Serros, MJC art department professor and Central California Art Association vice president. He said he chose the exhibit’s name because Central Valley students are “the foot soldiers of the next generation of artists.”
The exhibit will run through Friday, Aug. 26, at the downtown gallery. The public reception is from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 21, during the Third Thursday Art Walk. The show is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are 11:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday; noon-4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, visit http://ccaagallery.org.
