Graffiti, now for sale in downtown Modesto

Images of cars and neon signs were everywhere Friday morning as Modesto Graffiti USA had its official opening.

Just in time for Graffiti month in June, enthusiasts can buy T-shirts, cups, keychains and more that commemorate George Lucas’ landmark movie that revisits the filmmaker’s youth in Modesto.

Modesto Graffifi USA is at 1220 J St. in downtown Modesto.

The store, which is outfitted to look like a diner, is housed in the building occupied by the nonprofit Peer Recovery Art Project.

The hours are Wednesday though Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
