In brief: Arts events across the Modesto area
The West Side Theatre presents the radio play “Who Killed F-Stop Fitzgerald?” this weekend.
The dinner theater event will have a 1930s, underground speakeasy theme. Attendees are encouraged to dress in period attire while the cast presents the murder-mystery show. The story was written by Frank Riley and directed by Gail Chapman. Dinner is included in the $25 ticket.

St. James Series
The St. James Concert Series presents Trio 180 on Sunday, April 24.
This ensemble is the trio-in-residence at the University of the Pacific’s Conservatory of Music and features violinist Ann Miller, cellist Nina Flyer and pianist Sonia Leong. The show will feature works by Anton Arensky and Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The concert starts at 3 p.m. at the St. James Episcopal Church in Sonora. Tickets are $15 adult, $6 students. MJC choral concert
The Modesto Junior College Concert Choir celebrates “Collaborations” on Friday, April 22. The program will include a variety of works and performers. Conducting will be Cherrie Llewellyn, who is retiring at the end of the semester. Admission is free and the show starts 7:30 p.m. in the Main Auditorium on the East Campus.
