Popular Mexican pop-rock act Camila makes its Gallo Center for the Arts debut. The group, which features singer and producer Mario Domm and guitarist and co-producer Pablo Hurtado, has been together for the past decade. The group has earned three Latin Grammy Awards and have a slew of hits including “Abrázame,” “Todo cambió” and “Bésame.”

Railtown Historic State Park
Jamestown’s Railtown 1897 Historic State Park begins its excursion train ride season this weekend. To celebrate, the park will offer free steam-powered train rides Saturday and Sunday. Visitors can take a 6-mile, 45-minute ride through the foothills. After opening weekend the park will resume its regular steam and diesel locomotive trips for $15 adults, $10 children.

Modesto Unplugged Music Festival
The fifth annual Modesto Unplugged Music Festival kicks off its monthlong series of shows this weekend. This year the festival is partnering with other arts groups to put on concerts. Opening night will feature local acts Faux Renwah, Hannah Jane Kile and The Jespersons. Then Sunday, April 3, will showcase A.J. Lee and Jason and Ida Winfree.

Cesar E. Chavez Family Day
The city of Modesto hosts its 20th annual Cesar E. Chavez Family Day celebration. The free community event is a celebration of the life and legacy of the labor leader and civil rights activist. Festivities will include speeches, poetry, cultural dances and community resources. Refreshments provided.

Livingston Kite Festival
Go fly a kite – literally. The fifth annual Livingston Kite Festival encourages everyone to do just that at the free community celebration. The first 500 children will receive a free kite. The day will include kite demonstrations, competitions, workshops and more. There also will be live cultural entertainment, law enforcement equipment displays and pie-eating contests.

La Grange Rodeo
Saddle up for the 69th annual La Grange Rodeo. The all-day event includes traditional rodeo events including bull riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, team roping and calf roping and barrel racing. There will be a dance, queen coronation and more. Youngsters ages 8 and under can participate in a goat scramble. Grand entry begins at 1 p.m.
