Bringing back a ‘H!T’
The unscripted comedy stage show “Broadway’s Next H!T Musical” returns to the Gallo Center for the Arts this weekend. Improvisers gather made-up song suggestions from the audience to create a spontaneous evening of music, humor and laughter. The audience votes for its favorite and the cast turns it into an improvised musical.

The Von Trapps
The story of the family who escaped Austria, moved to the United States and toured the world singing for two decades has inspired generations since the film “The Sound of Music” was released in 1964. Four great-grandchildren of Captain and Maria von Trapp bring the family tradition tonight to the Gallo Center for the Arts.

Elvin Bishop, Tommy Castro
A double dose of blues hits Turlock Community Theatre on Saturday when Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Elvin Bishop and Blues Music Award winner Tommy Castro and his band The Painkillers take the stage. Bishop’s latest release is the Grammy-nominated “Can’t Even Do Wrong Right,” and he’s best know for the classic rock hit “Fooled Around and Fell in Love,” on which Mickey Thomas sang lead vocals. Tommy Castro & The Painkillers’ new album is “Method to My Madness.”

ABBA Mania
ABBA Mania formed in 1999 to celebrate the music and style of classic pop group ABBA. The show revives memories of when ABBA ruled the airwaves with hits including “Mamma Mia,” “Voulez Vous,” “Dancing Queen,” “Winner Takes It All,” “Super Trouper” and more. Friday’s show marks a return show for the band at the Gallo Center, having sold out the venue in 2013.
