Frozen Holiday Concert
The Modesto Junior College music department presents Frozen – A Family Holiday Choral Concert. The community event will bring together the MJC choirs and include excerpts from the popular Disney animated feature “Frozen.” Modesto native, MJC alumna and former “Glee” guest star Lindsay Pearce will sing the film’s signature song, “Let It Go.” The concert also will include traditional Christmas carols, children’s holiday songs and seasonal music.

Classic Live: The Beatles
The Classic Albums Live concert series returns to the Gallo Center. The productions re-create complete albums from classic bands. In past seasons, the series has done the works of Led Zeppelin and the Eagles. This show will highlight the Beatles’ album “Abbey Road.” The performance will be a note-for-note, cut-for-cut re-enactment.

William Florian
New Christy Minstrels former lead vocalist William Florian will perform as part of the Turlock Concert Association season. His show, “Those Were the Days,” will be a journey through some of America’s greatest folk and pop songs. The folk singer and songwriter will present music and tell stories of the era.

Singalong ‘Messiah’
Singers of all ages and abilities are invited to the seventh annual singalong “Messiah.” The community event invites the public to hear or participate in a performance of G.F. Handel’s “Messiah.” The chorus will be directed by Ginger Covert Colla, with Grace Brummel on organ and Robert Stone on trumpet. Featured soloists will include sopranos Linda Carter and Duana Demus Leslie, tenor Bruce Merchant and bass Richard Colla. Last year, more than 150 singers from across the region took part in the event.

‘Oliver’ in Merced
Playhouse Merced presents “Oliver” for the holidays. The musical based on the Charles Dickens’ classic “Oliver Twist” begins a three-weekend run at Playhouse Merced. The production is directed by Colton Dennis, musically directed by Dennis Brown and choreographed by Noelle Chandler. It stars Spencer Brown as Oliver Twist, Aiden Mitchell as the Artful Dodger, Matt Capron as Fagin and Melissa Beckwith as Nancy.

Hughson arts & crafts fair
This weekend will mark the 44th year that the 20th Century Club in Hughson has offered its holiday arts and crafts fair. There will be 120 booths with handcrafted items as well as live band performances and hourly drawings. The 20th Century Club is an organization of women who donate their time and efforts to fundraising, and all proceeds from the holiday crafts fair will go to the community.
