International Heritage Festival
Take a trip around the world without ever leaving Modesto this weekend. The International Heritage Festival returns to spotlight a wide variety of cultures through music, dance, food, crafts and more. The free family event will open with a performance by the YES Company and include presentations from other community groups.

Modesto Oktoberfest
Raise a glass at the 32nd annual Modesto Oktoberfest. The popular tasting event from the Modesto Chamber of Commerce brings together West Coast microbrews and California wineries. Admission also includes traditional German fare, including bratwurst, sauerkraut and potato salad. Live music will be from the band Gotcha Covered.

Bram Stoker’s ‘Dracula’
Get in the Halloween mood with this L.A. Theatre Works live radio theater production of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula.” The Charles Morey adaptation tells the tale of Count Dracula’s arrival in Victorian London from his native Transylvania. L.A. Theatre Works’ past Gallo Center radio plays have included “The War of the Worlds” and “The Lost World.”

Calaveras Grape Stomp
Celebrate the foothills wine industry at the Calaveras Grape Stomp and Gold Rush Street Faire, held in conjunction. The stomp includes teams competing to crush 2 tons of grapes. The street fair has vendors, crafts, antiques, collectibles and food. Grape Stomp T-shirt sales will benefit the Calaveras Community Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund.

‘Annie’
The touring show of the Broadway musical “Annie” leaps into the Gallo Center for the Arts next week. Directed by original lyricist and director Martin Charnin and choreographed by Liza Gennaro, the production features all of the original’s numbers, including “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street” and “Tomorrow.”

Pints in the Pines
Still haven’t had your fill of brews? The Twain Harte Area Chamber of Commerce presents its 10th annual Oktoberfest celebration, called Pints in the Pines. Festivities include craft and food vendors and live music from Chains Required and Threshold. Tastings can be done at the beer garden and include a souvenir mug.
