Stanislaus County Fair begins 10 days of entertainment with Clint Black concert

The 2026 Stanislaus County Fair begins Friday afternoon, kicking off its 10 days of entertainment with a performance by country star Clint Black.

Black will perform at 8:30 p.m. on the Modelo Variety Free Stage, located in the south of the fairgrounds and east of the livestock complex. While he is the only performer on that stage, a rock cover band called The Mixtape will perform at 5 p.m. on the Michelob Center Stage, located near Gate 1 in the southeast part of the grounds. DJ Oh Mars will perform on that same stage at 10 p.m. The concerts are all free with paid fair admission.

The truck and tractor pulls begin at 5:30 p.m. at the FoodMaxx Arena, located near Gate 13 and the north parking lot. This event costs $13.56 per ticket online. The box office opens at 4:30 p.m.

Animals shows and judging already are underway, beginning with rabbits and replacement heifers Friday morning. The replacement heifer sale will begin at 7 p.m. at the Thurman Pavilion, located in the southwest between the West Gate and Gate 15.

Throughout the evening, attendees can participate in a variety of activities, including a workshop to make wooden stamp ornaments and coasters at 6:30 p.m. in the floriculture building, a rib-eating contest at 7 p.m. at the Texas Roadhouse Stage, and karaoke at 10 p.m.

Captain Jack Spareribs, the Swan Circus, Zany Zoe the magician and Cruzin’ Critters will perform regularly starting at 5 p.m. Children under 13 can also attend a suncatcher-making workshop at 6 p.m. in the Kids Zone, located in the southeast of the fair.

Friday is Service Members Day, so anyone who shows military ID receives free admission. The carnival and grounds are open from 4 p.m. until midnight. Tickets can be purchased at the ticket office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and cost $15 for ages 13 to 64, $7 for ages 7-12 and seniors and are free ages 5 and under.

The fairgrounds are at 900 N. Broadway, Turlock. For more information, go to Stancofair.com or download the Stan Co Fair app.
