The Fruit Yard Amphitheater is getting a big jump on its next season, announcing a popular artist for 2025.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. to see “Weird Al” Yankovic play an 8 p.m. show on Aug. 23 at the Modesto venue.

Yankovic brings his “Bigger and Weirder 2025 Tour” to the Fruit Yard, along with guest artist Puddles Pity Party.

According to a press release, it will be a multimedia comedy rock show. His past two tours have been in smaller venues with scaled-down shows.

This new tour marks his return to large stages for the first time in six years, “playing his iconic hits as well as some fan favorites which have never been performed live,” the release said. The show includes a video wall, multiple costume changes and an eight-piece ensemble featuring Yankovic’s original band.

The pop culture icon is known for his parodies of hits by stars including Madonna, Taylor Swift, Michael Jackson, Usher, Nirvana, Eminem, Queen, Lady Gaga and others.

Yankovic is one of only three artists to chart in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the previous four consecutive decades — the others being Madonna and Michael Jackson — the release said.

Earlier this year Yankovic released a new single and video, “Polkamania!,” a medley of songs from the last decade by artists such as Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Adele and Taylor Swift, to mark the 10th anniversary of his No. 1 album “Mandatory Fun.”

Guest artist at the Fruit Yard show, Puddles Pity Party, is a singer referred to in the press release as a sad clown with a golden voice.

Officially called The Fruit Yard Chicken Ranch Casino Resort Amphitheater, it’s at 7948 Yosemite Blvd. There is lawn seating and reserved seating to accommodate about 3,500 people.

Ticket prices were not available at press time. There will be a VIP upgrade option that includes a post-show meet-and-greet with Yankovic. For more see www.thefruityardevents.com.
