Grammy-winning legends join forces for show at Modesto-region venue. How to get tickets
A pair of soul legends will come together in one show at Ironstone Amphitheatre in Murphys.
Gladys Knight and Patti LaBelle take the stage Aug. 4 for a double bill of hit-making divas. Tickets go on sale Thursday, June 8, at 10 a.m.
“These iconic voices, known for their powerful range and captivating stage presence, will come together in a once-in-a-lifetime event that promises to leave you breathless,” according to the Ironstone Amphitheatre website.
Both Grammy-winning singers are known as front women to hit-making groups: Gladys Knight and the Pips and the eponymous LaBelle.
LaBelle, dubbed the Queen of Rock and Soul, has hits including “Lady Marmalade,” “When You Talk About Love,” “New Attitude,” “If Only You Knew” and “On My Own.”
Known as the Empress of Soul, Knight’s hits include “Midnight Train to Georgia,” “Best Thing That Ever Happened To Me,” “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination” and “Neither One of Us (Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye).”
The show is set for 7:30 p.m. Aug. 4 at the Ironstone Amphitheatre, 1894 6 Mile Road in Murphys. Tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.
