With the countdown to Christmas almost over, it’s time to start thinking about the countdown to 2023.

A handful of Modesto-area venues are ready to help you do just that with music, revelry and bubbly — as in sparkling wine, sparkling cider and ginger ale, depending on your age and tastes.

Black Oak Casino New Year’s Eve Party: Dance party band Gotcha Covered headlines the music in the Willow Creek Lounge at Black Oak Casino, playing hits from the 1970s through today. The party runs from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the casino, 19400 Tuolumne Road North, Tuolumne. $25. 877-747-8777. www.blackoakcasino.com.

Crocodile’s New Year’s Eve Party: A variety of tri-tip, salmon and chicken entrees are available for dinner, which is served 6-8 p.m. Dinner tickets are $50, while presale general admission (8 p.m.) is $25. Price at the door before 9 p.m. is $30. Free hats and party favors. Free coffee and doughnuts after 1 a.m.. Age 21 and older. Palladium New Year’s Eve: The multiplex nightclub will have six DJs playing four types of music. Ages 21 and older only. Doors open at 8 p.m. Presale tickets are available by calling 209-522-8899. 950 10th St., Modesto.

Low Key Saloon New Year’s Eve Celebration: A band will provide music for a night of dancing. There will be a champagne toast at midnight. No cover charge. 3848 McHenry Ave., Suite 370, Modesto. 209-360-2771.

The Old School New Year’s Eve at Crawfish Noodle & Grill: Tickets for dinner, comedy show and dancing are $80. Dinner at 7 p.m., show 8 to 9. Doors open at 9 for dancing, and admission is $50. Three DJs will provide the music. There will be a balloon drop and champagne toast at midnight. Dinner options are teriyaki chicken and Cajun shrimp boil. crawfishmodesto.com.

Speakeasy Lounge celebration: Ring in the new year with local rock, punk and ska bands Time of the Essence, Haunted House Party, Aware and Horizon Point. Doors open at 8 p.m. Ages 21 and older. No cover charge. 928 12th St. 209-238-3907.

2 Lit New Year’s Eve Party: Music by Westsideallure at Bodega 57 Fusion Restaurant, 616 Seventh St., Modesto. Doors open at 9. Admission $20 early bird, $30 general. Text or call 209-565-1621 for more information or to book VIP tickets.

New Year 2023 celebration at Cru: Music by DJ Invisible and DJ Intense. Doors open at 8 p.m. No cover charge. Balloon drop at midnight. 130 W. Main St., Turlock. 209-668-4680.

Modesto On Ice: The seasonal skating rink in downtown offers a late-night skate with a balloon drop and cider toast at midnight. There also will be games and prizes. 10 p.m.-12:15 a.m. Modesto On Ice, 11th and K streets. $25 adults, $20 children. To create a more pleasant experience, the number of skaters is reduced this year. Ring Ring Ring at Dave & Buster’s: Celebrate the new year EARLY with this 4 p.m. event. It includes an appetizer buffet, churros, unlimited soda, coffee and tea, a $20 Power Card with 100 chips for redemption games, unlimited video game play for nonredemption games, and party hats and noisemakers while supplies last.
