The final days leading up to Christmas will be celebrated with a variety of entertainment, including music by legend Dionne Warwick, as well as the Modesto Symphony Orchestra. There are other options also to enjoy the week of Dec. 17-23.

Dionne Warwick

Six-time Grammy Award-winning singer Dionne Warwick will perform “A Holiday Celebration” at the Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto. She will offer a mix of her hits and holiday favorites.

Candlelight Concert

Modesto Symphony Orchestra brings its traditional Holiday Candlelight Concert to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Modesto. The performance will include the MSO, the MSO Chorus and the Opus Handbell Ensemble, offering traditional Christmas music. Tickets are available through the Gallo Center.

Rockin’ Holiday

These are the last days to enjoy the Rockin’ Holiday display and activities at Modesto’s Tenth Street Plaza. The event features lights, garland, retro decorations, snow machine flurries, music and more.

McHenry Mansion Candlelight Tours

Tours of the McHenry Mansion, decorated for a Victorian Christmas, are being offered. You can learn the history behind some holiday traditions such as Christmas trees, candles, candy canes, gingerbread houses, poinsettias, stockings and more.

“Magi”

Big Valley Grace Community Church’s Film Ministry presents its short film, “Magi,” during church services. Open to the public, the film explores the account of the Magi from the Bible in Matthew.
