The holiday season gets into full swing, with plenty of Christmas music and events making up the Modesto region’s entertainment. Here’s a look at some of the top options planned for Nov. 26-Dec. 2.
Lonestar
Country group Lonestar brings its “Christmas and Hits” show to the Gallo Center. The program will mix holiday favorites with the band’s hits as reimagined and rerecorded for its upcoming “Ten to 1” album.

“Holiday Pops!”
Broadway actress Nikki Renée Daniels joins the Modesto Symphony Orchestra and its chorus for an annual holiday show at the Gallo Center, “Holiday Pops!” The performance will include many holiday favorites.

A Carpenters Christmas

Steve Vai
Guitarist, composer and producer Steve Vai brings his music to the Turlock Community Theatre. At age 12, Vai started taking guitar lessons from Joe Satriani. At 18, he began his professional music career with Frank Zappa. He’s earned three Grammy Awards.

Sara Evans

Christmas fair
Formerly known as the Dickens Faire, the McHenry Mansion Christmas Faire features vendors offering an assortment of Christmas items, jewelry, food, crafts and more outside the mansion. There will be musical entertainment and activities for children. Horse-drawn wagon rides will be offered for $6.

Music of Sinatra
