Get your fall fun fix before it’s too late. There’s plenty to do in the Modesto region

Halloween is nearly here, which means it’s your last chance to check out the large farm corn mazes and pumpkin patches offering a variety of activities in the Modesto region.

The State Theatre also has a couple of live shows planned for the week of Oct. 29-Nov. 4. Here’s a look at some of what’s out there to entertain you.

R.A.M. Farms

There’s a corn maze to get lost in at R.A.M. Farms in Turlock, with Freaky Flashlight Nights through the maze Friday and Saturday (take your own flashlights) beginning at dusk. Also on site are a scary shed, tractor corral and hay maze. There’s a Halloween video shown nightly.

WHEN: Through Oct. 31. Open noon to dusk Wednesday, Thursday, Monday; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday

Dutch Hollow Farms

Along with a corn maze, activities include a pumpkin patch, hamster wheels, hayrides, a tricycle track, a jump pad, a super slide, zip lines and more. Gem mining and pony rides have additional charges.

WHEN: Through Oct. 31, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Oct. 31

Dell’Osso Family Farm

The pumpkin farm in Lathrop offers its corn maze, haunted castle, a children’s interactive pirate show, the Dell’Osso Express Train, pony rides, a speedway, pig races and more. A pumpkin patch and food court also are open. Most attractions are included with admission, but some have additional fees.

Fantozzi Farms

This Patterson farm’s attractions include two mazes, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, cow train rides, corn cannons, a corn seed pit, a zombie paintball shooting range, pig races and more. A haunted drive-thru attraction is open 7-10:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 7-9 p.m. Sunday.

Nightmare on J Street

Glitter Coven Cabaret brings its Halloween celebration to the State Theatre in Modesto. Glitter Coven offers burlesque and variety entertainment. Parental guidance is suggested for the show.

Heartless

This tribute to the classic rock band Heart brings the group’s hits to the State Theatre. Heartless offers songs from the 1970s such as “Dreamboat Annie” and “Barracuda,” along with power ballads from the ’80s like “Alone” and “What About Love.”
