You’ll hear plenty of country in the country at Modesto’s Fruit Yard Amphitheatre this season.

Five performers, all from the country music scene, have been announced for the rural venue.

The first show is set for April 8, a concert by the band Midland. Tickets are on sale now for all of the shows. A performance by Lee Brice already has sold out.

More events are expected to be added for the season, according to an email from the venue’s marketing firm.

Adjacent to orchards and a longstanding restaurant west of Waterford, the amphitheater — officially called the Basi Insurance Nationwide Amphitheatre at The Fruit Yard — has lawn seating along with reserved seating to accommodate about 3,500 patrons.

It opened in 2018 with a single show by Amy Grant. It had its first full season in 2019, but the pandemic shut it down in 2020. Concerts returned to The Fruit Yard last year.

Here’s the 2022 lineup announced so far:

  • April 8, Midland, 7:30 p.m. $68-$97
  • April 29, Lee Brice, sold out

  • May 7, Brett Young with Matt Ferranti, 7 p.m. $47-$97

  • May 14, Trace Adkins with Craig Morgan, 7 p.m. $45-$115

  • July 8, Chris Young, 7:30 p.m. $55-$140.

The Fruit Yard is at 7948 Yosemite Blvd., Modesto. See www.thefruityardevents.com for tickets and more information.
