The Modesto Symphony Orchestra presents works from composers Rachmaninoff and Rimsky-Korsakov. Composer and award-winning pianist Stephen Hough will perform Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2. The evening concludes with “Scheherazade,” based off of the tale “Arabian Nights.”

Jimmy Buffett-based musical
The musical comedy “Escape to Margaritaville” features original songs and Jimmy Buffett classics. The romantic comedy coming to the Gallo Center is set in the Caribbean and tells the story of a bartender who falls for a career-driven tourist.

Sunday Afternoons at CBS presents the Grace Lieberman Valentine Cabaret and David Bradford Tribute Tea for its next program. Christine Capsuto Shulman and Elizabeth Neff will perform Broadway and opera music. Afternoon tea sandwiches, scones and pastries will be offered.

South Africa’s Grammy Award-winning band comes to the State Theatre. The group’s a cappella vocals were first discovered on Paul Simon’s “Graceland” in 1986. Since, original members have welcomed a younger generation to pass on its storytelling and message of peace, love and harmony.
The Golden Dragon Acrobatics will perform at the Turlock Community Theatre. Asian Artists Productions, Inc.

The Golden Dragon Acrobatics bring traditional dance, costumes, ancient and contemporary music and theatrical techniques to the Turlock Community Theatre. The group represents a time-honored tradition that began more than 25 centuries ago.
