There will be cartoons screened in the morning, an open house with screenings of 1934 serial cliffhangers, 1934 news of the day and a documentary on the State Theatre. A birthday party reception before the screening of 1934 film “A Night at the Opera” rounds out the evening.

‘Nutcracker in Jazz’
Central West Ballet puts a jazzy twist to its classic performances of “The Nutcracker.” All in Jazz, this special performance offers a swing into the holidays. The jazz performance is available one night only while the classic “Nutcracker” performances will continue through Dec. 22.

Candlelight Tours
Take a self-guided walk-through tour of the Victorian Christmas-decorated McHenry Mansion. Tour by candle and gaslight. There will be demonstrations of 19th century activities and musicians playing holiday music. Includes dessert served in the basement.
