“The Nutcracker”

Central West Ballet’s “The Nutcracker” has become a family tradition that has grown to six performances plus one jazzed-up version. This year marks the first time that several lead roles have gone to dancers trained by the CWB Academy. There also will be a special Nov. 11 low-sensory, special-needs performance at noon.

“Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus”

Gallo Center Repertory Company presents this holiday classic. Eight-year-old Virginia is left pondering Santa’s existence after a series of unhappy events. Meanwhile, a young newspaper editor also struggles, faced with losing his job. The spirit of Christmas is about to bring them together.

Modesto Symphony Orchestra

Holiday Candlelight Concert

Modesto Symphony Orchestra presents its annual Christmas concert. The Holiday Candlelight Concert will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. MSO Chorus Director Daniel R. Afonso Jr. conducts this traditional event that also will feature the MSO Chorus and Youth Chorus.

Ozomatli

“The Nightmare Before Christmas”

Jack Skellington, Pumpkin King of Halloweenland, feels dissatisfied until he stumbles upon Christmastown. So he kidnaps Santa Claus and plans to deliver ghoulish gifts to children on Christmas morning.
