Camp Jack Hazard Benefit
The B93 Spring Fling Camp Jack Hazard benefit concert features rock band Lifehouse. The annual fundraiser for the High Sierra wilderness camp for area youths brings in its biggest national act to date in a new partnership with iHeartMedia. Lifehouse charted such radio hits as “Hanging by a Moment” and “You and Me.” Modesto musician Neil Buettner will open the show.

Modesto Unplugged Music Festival
The fourth annual Modesto Unplugged Music Festival (MUMFest for short) brings in one of its most diverse musical lineups ever. The acts performing at the weekend-long event will range from folk to Southern rock, Americana to acid jazz, and bluegrass to Cajun zydeco. Nearly 20 acts will perform, including the festival’s songwriting contest finalists.

MC YOGI & Yoga Workshop
MC YOGI spreads the sounds and spirituality of the ancient discipline at the Gallo Center for the Arts. Part hip-hop artist, part yoga instructor, the performer has played festivals and taught classes around the world. He is considered a modern-day ambassador of yoga to the West with his fusion of rap, reggae and electronic music. He will lead a sold-out workshop in the Gallo Center lobby before his evening concert.

Friends of Bob & Tom
The Keystone Light Friends of The Bob & Tom Show Comedy Tour returns to Modesto for two shows. The national tour showcases a rotating cast of comedians who have all performed on the popular syndicated radio program. The Modesto stop at the downtown State Theatre is sponsored by 104.5 The Hawk and will feature comics Tim Cavanagh, Costaki Economopoulos, Drew Hastings and Greg Hahn.

Kite Festival
The fourth annual Kite Festival featuring kite flying, a competition, crafting and entertainment returns to Livingston. The Merced County Sheriff’s Department will be present to display crime-fighting tools including a Robertson R44 Raven II helicopter and 1973 UH-1H Vietnam-era Huey helicopter, SWAT armored vehicle, “Bearcat,” and water rescue boat. The first 500 kids receive a free kite.

Mexico y sus Alrededores
Ballet folklorico de Sacramento returns to the region with its “Mexico y sus Alrededores” (Mexico and its surroundings) show. The production features 40 dancers and musicians who will take the audience on a journey through the folklore of the country. The concert and its original choreography are by the company’s artistic director, Zenon Barron.
