Easter activities around the region get the young and young at heart hoppin’

Here comes Peter Cottontail, and a bunch of kids are running after him looking for eggs. Easter weekend brings a flurry of fun family activities including egg hunts and more. A look at the offerings across the Northern San Joaquin Valley and foothills.

Saturday

209 Rustbuckets Car Club Show and Egg Hunt – A car show and Easter egg hunt will include bounce houses, kids activities and live entertainment. Open to kids up to 10 years old. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Hatch Park, 5506 Jennie Ave., Keyes. $10 car entry free, free for egg hunt.

Easter Egg Hunt And Pancake Breakfast – Pancake breakfast, egg hunt, games, crafts and activities. 8-10 a.m. Geneva Presbyterian Church, 1229 E. Fairmont Ave., Modesto. $4 adults; $2.50 3-10 years; 2 years and under free. (209) 524-6841.

Eggstreme Easter Egg Hunt – Some 65,000 eggs will be hidden for kids to find. Includes inflatables, kiddie train ridesand appearances by some favorite characters. Modesto Reservoir Easter Egg Hunt – Visit the Easter Bunny with free photos, face painting, balloon animals, egg tosses and more, sponsored by the Stanislaus County Parks & Recreation and Stanislaus County Police Activities League. Easter Champagne Brunch – The Sierra Dinner Train offers a three-course meal of classic American breakfast food with unlimited coffee, soda and champagne.
