Classic rockers Boston are back. The arena greats from the ’70s and ’80s landed megahits with songs including “More Than a Feeling,” “Peace of Mind,” “Rock and Roll Band” and “Smokin’.” The group returns to Ironstone, where it last played in 2016, on its Hyper Space Tour. Also on the double bill is Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Joan Jett and her band The Blackhearts of “I Love Rock ’n’ Roll” fame.

Taj Mahal & Keb Mo
Two blues greats unite in the TajMo Tour. Taj Mahal and Keb’ Mo’ will perform music from their first collaborative album, “TajMo,” which was released last month. In his more than 50-year career, Mahal has won multiple Grammys and worked with The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and more. Mo’ has taken home three Grammy Awards and worked with the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Jackson Browne and Buddy Guy.

American Graffiti Classic Car Parade & Festival
The North Modesto Kiwanis Club holds its extravaganza of Graffiti Summer events this weekend. Festivities begin with the Classic Car Parade with some 1,000 vehicles cruising through Modesto Friday evening, followed by a Downtown Cruise-In. It continues with the 19th annual American Graffiti Festival & Car Show on Saturday and Sunday with appearances by “American Graffiti” stars Candy Clark and Bo Hopkins and custom-car wizard Gene Winfield.

The Doo Wop Project
The Gallo Center for the Arts gets in the Graffiti Summer spirit with The Doo Wop Project. The production features current and former stars of “Jersey Boys” and “Motown: the Musical” performing classic songs “from bop to pop.” The selection spans performers from Smokey Robinson to The Temptations, and The Four Seasons, Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Amy Winehouse.

Moonshine Bandits
Los Banos-raised outlaw hip-hop group Moonshine Bandits returns home to play the Merced County Fair for the first time. The duo of Brett Brooks, known as Bird, and Dusty Dahlgren, known as Big Tex, have been performing together since high school. Their seventh full-length album, “Baptized in Bourbon,” came out in March and features collaborations with David Allan Coe and Colt Ford.
