The Arizona Coyotes failed an early-season test against one of the Western Conference's best clubs the last time out, and they hope to fare better on Tuesday when they play their first road game of the campaign in Nashville.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the game-winning goal with 3:25 to play as the Edmonton Oilers notched their first win of the season in a 3-2 decision over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Taylor Hall posted a goal and an assist, while Justin Schultz also scored for the Oilers, who had started out 0-4-1. Ben Scrivens posted 22 stops in the victory. Brian Boyle and Brett Connolly scored for the Lightning, who fell to 1-1 in their five- game road trip. Ben Bishop allowed three goals on 23 shots in the loss.
