Eucelia Fritch: Number of police shootings is frightening

So, lately it seems more than not the news is reporting a police officer kills ... who? That is the problem. They’re killing everyone, everywhere! And without justification or proper investigation of what, if anything, caused this to be their only resort. Sure, the newspaper mentions that another person has been killed by police, but that’s all.

People fail to realize there is only one story left to be heard. Therefore we never know the truth. It’s unfair to them, their families, their children and to society.

Speak up, or it very well might be you or me or someone you love murdered because police have the privilege. Well, I have a privilege also – the freedom of speech. So remember that the next time you get ready to pull the trigger. Though all cops don’t record, all citizens do! #wethepeoplemovement2016.

Editor’s note: All Modesto police patrol officers are equipped with cameras which are activated during all interactions with the public.
