Joanne M. Miller: Bible offers enormous proof of Jesus’ divinity

Re “One path, many road maps to God” (Page 19, Nov. 19). It amazes me that Jesus continues to be under attack by those who say that there are many ways to God. Jesus died once, but its still being put to open shame by those who deny that He is the only way to the Father (see John 14:6). Let’s step back and use some logic. There are over 300 prophecies in the Old Testament that point to Jesus as the Messiah. These prophecies tell in detail about his birth, ministry, death and resurrection. The mathematical probability of 44 authors over 16 centuries writing a book like the Bible that is cohesive and tells one story of redemption boggles the mind. Yet, some people still think the Bible is a giant forgery.

Jesus was born, was crucified and was resurrected. Many people have tried to disprove this, but have failed. If God sent His only son to be persecuted and crucified for our sins, do you think God would say, “All right, folks. If you want to worship some man who created a religion, go right ahead”? God was serious enough about our redemption to send Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice for sinners.
