Man’s body found in Dry Creek in Modesto

Police recovered the body of an adult white male from Dry Creek in Modesto on Tuesday morning.

A passerby called in the discovery about 6:15 a.m., said Modesto Police Department spokeswoman Heather Graves. The man was face down in the water. Exactly where he was found was unclear, but it appears somewhere between Coffee Road and El Vista Avenue.

There were no signs of trauma to the body, Graves said, and investigators found nothing suspicious about the death.

Police have not estimated an age of the man. It’s too early to know if he drowned, Graves said.
