YESTERYEARS
100 YEARS AGO: It was announced that a $160,000 bond issue would be reissued by the Modesto School District for the construction of a new high school building after the Board of Education meeting the next day. The same bond measure had been rejected by the State Board of Control as illegal because it was believed that a lack of information regarding the purpose of the bond measure was the cause for its rejection.
