Info: The Pajama Program, a nationwide 501(c)(3) nonprofit, seeks to provide pajamas, storybooks and resources for parents and caregivers. The Central Valley Chapter is asking for community help in collecting pjs and books for children and teens up to age 18. 100 YEARS AGO: The Modesto Irrigation District received notice from the State Bond Commission, that it could go forward with its proposed $2 million measure. MID’s bond measure proposal was to cover its part of the cost on the construction of the Don Pedro Irrigation Project and development of a power plant at the dam.
