She allowed the car to drift. She ended up in a Merced front yard, CHP says
A woman allowed her car to drift off Highway 140, through a fence and into the front yard of a home outside Merced on Friday, according to California Highway Patrol.
The 21-year-old was westbound on the highway just west of Buhach Road about 6 p.m. when she allowed the car to drift and ended up in the 1000 block of Lady Di Court, CHP said. Officers did not release her name.
A wooden fence separates the highway from several cul-de-sacs in the area. No injuries were reported, CHP said.
