Boy injured at the opening of new water park in Dublin
A 10-year-old boy was injured Saturday at the grand opening of a new water park in Dublin, officials said.
The boy, video shows, fell out at the base of a three-story slide and tumbled onto the cement, where he slid a few more feet.
He got scraped up and had other minor injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution, authorities said.
Two slides there will remain closed until an investigation into the cause of the accident is complete, according to reports.
The new park – called The Wave – is at 4201 Central Parkway just north of Interstate 580 and Tassajara Road.
