Fire in unoccupied southwest Ceres house causes ‘significant damage’
A house fire in southwest Ceres on Tuesday night caused “significant damage” to the interior, said Battalion Chief John Gomes of the Ceres Fire Department.
The house was unoccupied, however.
Firefighters were called to the 1600 block of Sungate Drive off Blaker Road just south of Hackett Road at about 7:30 p.m. on a report of smoke and flames coming from the structure.
No one was believed to be inside, Gomes said.
