See which Stanislaus District football player fans crowned The Bee’s Player of the Week

Ceres’ defense was outstanding in its 25-20 Week 7 win over Johansen, but quarterback Kyle Phongsa Chhoeum did his part in making sure the Bulldogs came out with a win on senior night.

The senior completed 25 of 35 passes for 227 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He did not turn the ball over and led the team on a late fourth quarter drive that gave them the final lead of the game.

The fans noticed his performance, voting him The Bee’s Week 7 Football Player of the Week.

Chhoeum finished first, collecting 68% of the votes in the weekly poll. He finished ahead of Patterson’s Romeo Manu and Hughson’s Eli Wilbanks, who came in second and third, respectively.
