Patterson’s Rayne Tago won the fan vote for The Stanislaus District’s Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Tago won the fan vote, but it was close. She narrowly edged out Riverbank’s Livi Fernandez, gaining more than 62,900 votes, 43% of the more than 147,000 votes in the poll.

In her sophomore season, Tago led the balanced Tigers team in both scoring and rebounds with averages of 12.3 points and 9.3 rebounds per game. The team finished with a 20-4 overall record and a 10-2 record in the Central California Conference, second behind Atwater. Tago and Patterson earned a 10-seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs.

The forward/center opened the year with a season-high 20 points in a win over Orestimba. She had a season-high 16 rebounds three times, all wins, against Gregori, El Capitan and Merced. Those accounted for three of her 16 double doubles on the season.
