Anita Carlton: Kaepernick should be part of the solution, not just the complaining
How does sitting on a bench while the national anthem is playing, in disrespect for the country that gave you the right to speak your mind, qualify as taking a stand? Colin Kaepernick, perhaps you need to really stand up and determine how to be part of the solution and not the problem; possibly you could contribute some of your blessings, or find a way to help change the oppression which you oppose. If the 49ers administration is listening, you must realize that your quarterback’s stand (sit) will affect your fan base. Hopefully someone can properly assess this situation, so that our country can travel the high road.
