Johanna Klein: Fox News broke many important stories

To the critics of Fox News: It was Fox News who broke the story of “Fast and Furious” gun running to Mexico, a program coming out of the office of Attorney General Eric Holder, who is in “contempt of Congress” for refusing to answer questions in the investigation. Holder is leaving office in disgrace.

It was Fox News who broke the story of the ISIS scandal, still being investigated along with many lawsuits going through the courts. President Obama said he was angry and would investigate, but never has.

It was Fox News who broke the story of the Benghazi terror attacks including the lie Obama and Hillary Clinton spewed for weeks. This is also under investigation.

It was Fox News who broke the story of the Obamacare disaster, including the Presidents lies; you can keep your doctor, you can keep you healthcare plan, etc.

There are other stories Fox News broke, too many to list. Propaganda? Hardly, all of these took hard work and courage to dig up the facts and details which the American people have a right to know. The other news channels barely touched these stories. Why? Would you prefer the public be uninformed?

Johanna Klein, Modesto

Editor’s note: Though Fox News has done substantial reporting on the Fast & Furious story, the first to report the story was CBS News on March 3, 2011. The first report on Fox appeared on June 15, 2011.
