Rodeo week activities in Oakdale continued Thursday afternoon with barrel-racing slack action at the rodeo grounds, on East F Street (Highway 120) east of Maag Avenue. Friday brings the timed-event slack beginning at 8 a.m. Admission is $2.

On Saturday morning, the 64th annual Oakdale Rodeo parade begins at 9 starting at Walgreens, 444 W. F St., and ending at Save Mart, 1449 E. F St.

Saturday and Sunday, the grand entry is at 1:30 p.m. at the rodeo grounds. Adult admission is $15 online, $20 at the gate. Children ages 7 to 12 get in for $10, and children 6 and under are admitted free.

The rodeo features some of the best of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association circuit competing against the top local hands.

Saturday night, the rodeo dance, with music by the California Outlaws, is from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.. Cost is $10 at the door for the 21-and-older event at the rodeo grounds.

Sunday at 10 a.m., a Cowboy Church service will be at the rodeo grounds.
