Modesto man accepts plea deal on molestation charges

Ronnie Carlton Rogers, 25, of Modesto accepted a plea deal Tuesday that will send him to prison for 22 years for having sexual contact with children between Aug. 2, 2001, and April 30, 2008, according to the Stanislaus County district attorney's office.

Rogers was convicted of three or more sexual acts with a child under 14 and committing lewd and lascivious act upon a child under 14. He must register as a sex offender when he is released from prison.
