Angels camp police to close for training

The Angels Camp Police Department will be closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday so department personnel can participate in training.

The Calaveras County Sheriff's Department will handle calls for the department, and the California Highway Patrol will investigate traffic accidents in Angels Camp during that time.

Anyone who needs to speak to police or report an incident can call the Police Department at 736-2567 and the call will be forwarded to the sheriff's dispatch center. The Police Department will open and resume normal operations at 5 a.m. Thursday, according to a police news release.
