Armed robbery at Subway sandwich shop on Coffee Road in Modesto

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken in an armed robbery Thursday evening at the Subway restaurant in the 1400 block of Coffee Road in Modesto.

Police said two men entered the restaurant at about 8:45 p.m. One was armed with a handgun and demanded money.

The men got into a two-door vehicle after leaving the restaurant and were last seen going north on Coffee Road. Both were described as Latino males in their 20s, about 5 feet, 11 inches tall. A third person was possibly involved, police said.

No injuries were reported.
