CHP seeks hit-and-run driver after accident near Ceres

Authorities are looking for the driver who forced a big rig off Highway 99 Wednesday afternoon. The truck overturned, injuring the passenger.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Bing Liang, 35, of Arcadia was driving a 2015 International box truck south on Highway 99 near Faith Home Road when the incident occurred about 2:45 p.m.

Lian was driving in the slow lane when the driver of a silver Nissan 350Z abruptly changed lanes, cutting him off and forcing the truck off the road. The truck went into the center median and overturned.

The Nissan driver fled the scene, headed south on Highway 99. Liang was not hurt. A passenger in the truck, Meng Li, 33, of Fresno, suffered moderate injries and was taken to Emanuel Medical Center.

Investigation into the crash continues. Authorities ask anyone with information on the Nissan driver to contact CHP officer White at (209) 545-7440.
