Oakdale woman fatally injured in head-on crash east of Modesto
A 64-year-old Oakdale woman died Wednesday morning from injuries suffered in a head-on collision on Parker Road east of Modesto.
A Toyota SUV and a Ford pickup collided head-on around 7:20 a.m. west of Wellsford Road, according to the California Highway Patrol. Officer Tom Olsen said investigators are still trying to determine which driver was at fault and what led up to the crash.
The driver of the SUV was taken by ambulance to Memorial Medial Medical Center, where she later died. She was identified by the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office as Olga Bentulan.
The driver of the pickup, 41-year-old Kenneth Brickey of Waterford, sustained minor injuries and declined medical treatment. A 1-year-old boy in the pickup with him was not injured.
Drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the collision and everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
