Ceres school’s staff visits students in unique way during closure
The staff at Carroll Fowler Elementary School in Ceres hadn’t seen their students since March 18 as the district closed all schools until April 17 due to concerns over the spread of the coronavirus.
To “visit” their students on Tuesday afternoon, several staff members drove around the school’s neighborhood in a parade.
Students stood outside their homes with various signs decked out in blue and red, the school’s colors, as the cars drove by.
Some of the signs said “We Miss You” and “Thank You” and staff members honked their horns and waved at the students.
