CrossPoint collecting supplies Saturday to support local response to coronavirus
CrossPoint Community Church is calling for donations to help Stanislaus County health care teams, and all of their neighbors (and they consider everyone their neighbor) cope with the coronavirus pandemic.
Saturday, March 21, from 1-4 p.m. at the CrossPoint Community Church Pavilion located at 11th and Needham Streets, you can do a drive-up drop-off of your donations. Follow the cones to the parking lot in back.
CrossPoint will collect any new, unopened medical supplies, including personal protective equipment (PPE) of masks, gloves and masks of all types such as N-95, surgical and industrial masks. Donations of hand sanitizer, wipes and cleaning supplies are also welcome.
Unwanted, functioning tablets, such as iPADs, can be donated for seniors practicing social isolation. They are also accepting canned goods and durable items, such as blankets, but no clothing donations at this time.
Loveourneighbors.org, part of Love Modesto, is also calling out for volunteers and offering assistance for neighbors in need.
