Republican former President Donald Trump’s campaign this week spread a false report that Vice President Kamala Harris skipped visiting with survivors of the recent Hurricane Helene in order to go on the popular women’s issues podcast “Call Her Daddy.”

A post on the X account Trump War Room, which is affiliated with the Trump campaign, showed a pair of pictures — of Harris on “Call Her Daddy” and of a hurricane survivor — to falsely imply Harris didn’t go to the scene of the hurricane that has killed more than 220 people so far.

“That tells you all you need to know about Kamala’s priorities,” the post read.

The post was re-posted more than 4,300 times and had 12,000 likes.

The truth is that Harris actually canceled the first planned interview with “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper in order to go survey the hurricane damage, according to a post on Cooper’s own TikTok account.

The post said that while Cooper had flown to Las Vegas and set up a hotel room for the interview, Harris had to cancel at the last minute in order to respond to the hurricane.

This is corroborated by the fact that Harris traveled to Georgia, which was in the path of the hurricane, to survey the damage and meet with first responders. According to her vice presidential X account, she also visited North Carolina.
